Definition This member is the sandy basin-fringe equivalent of the Volpriehausen Clay-Siltstone Member. Some of the fining-upwards cycles can still be recognised, but in the most sandy area only claystone beds yielding anomalously high gamma-ray readings can be distinguished. The sandstone is light-brown and usually carbonate-cemented. The thin claystone beds have a greenish colour and show a rhythmic alternation of thin sandstone and claystone laminae.
