Definition This member is recognised in the basin-fringe area, where it constitutes the proximal, sandy equivalent of the Detfurth Claystone Member. The member displays a typical log character of two clay beds with high gamma-ray readings, separated by sandstones. It is a very useful unit for regional correlation purposes.
