|Definition||This member is distinguished from the Main Claystone Member by the regular intercalation of up to 1 m thick oolite beds in the small-scale cycles. In the middle part of the member three conspicuous oolite beds occur, which serve as reliable regional correlation markers. In the southern part of the country, the oolite beds are laterally replaced by sandstones. In the Roer Valley Graben the unit passes laterally into the predominantly sandy Nederweert Sandstone Member.|
