Lithological description

Marl/limestone alternation in which the number and thickness of limestone beds clearly increase toward the top. Just above the basal limestone beds a characteristic marlstone interval is found. On wire-line logs the unit is recognisable by a clear overall funnel shape.

Shallow marine.
