Mainly coarse-grained, greenish grey, glauconitic sandstones, locally with argillaceous matrix or calcareous cementation.
Depositional setting
Shallow, open-marine.
Definition of lower boundary
Contact with the glauconitic marls of the Lower Holland Marl Member below is recognised on log character.
Definition of upper boundary
Mildly unconformably overlain by the Texel Greensand Member (Chalk Group).
Thickness indication
Generally less than 75 m, but up to 140 m in well Q16-FA-101.
