Lithological description

Thin claystone section with marine fossils.

Depositional setting

Marginal marine.

Definition of lower boundary

With the IJsselmonde Sandstone Member, well-defined at the top of the sandstone. To the southeast of the basin, the member can overlie the coastal/fluvial-plain deposits of the Nieuwerkerk Formation.

Definition of upper boundary

With the De Lier Member is of a more gradual nature.
