Definition Light greenish/grey marlstone unit, the carbonate content of which is lower than that of the Lower and Upper Muschelkalk members, and which contains some anhydrite beds in the basal part. The member displays an increase in clay content towards the top, which is clearly expressed in gamma-ray and acoustic log patterns.
