Premise Member defined by van Adrichem Boogaert & Kouwe (1994). Documented in NAM and RGD (1980) as Coppershale Member (code ZEFRK) in the now abandoned Fringe Zechstein Formation.

Definition The Fringe Coppershale Member is somewhat thicker and less dark in colour than its basin equivalent, and contains less organic matter. In some places (e.g. well Buurmalsen-1 (see pdf) ) a dolomite bed occurs at the base.
