You can retrieve data via graphical selection using the tools pictured here, or the tools in combination with clicking a link.

The map you start with is a base map. The following functions are available for the base map: zoom in, zoom out, move and start position. Click the icon that represents the action.

• Zoom in: click in the map or use the mouse to draw a box of the required size;
• Zoom out: click in the map;
• Pan: drag the map in the required direction;
• Original extent: shows the map, whether it contains the requested data or not, at the provincial level shown in the first map.

To show the position of data, select a data type (e.g. wells) and click the "Refresh map" link. The data of the selected type is shown on the base map. The data remain visible during zoom in and zoom out, move and start position. In this mode the functions retrieve metadata, select and undo selection can also be used.

• Metadata: click on a data point and a new window appears showing the corresponding metadata;
• Select: use the mouse to draw a box around the area that is to be selected or click on a data point. The selected data points will be highlighted;
• The "Clear selection" icon appears when a selection has been made. Clicking this icon will undo the selection.

As a final step you may click the 'Show Selection' link. This takes you to an order form containing the metadata you selected. The data you wish to order can be indicated on this form.
