To see how the data from DINOShop boreholes are displayed, click on the adjacent image. A new window will appear with a complete set of data, in this case containing all the meta-data and layer information that users can expect for a boring. The example presented here is a tab-spaced ASCII text file that was dragged into an empty Microsoft Excel spreadsheet in Windows; comparable results can be obtained with StarOffice. You can find more details about this on the Software page.

The data file is downloaded as a tab-spaced ASCII text, as an Excel sheet, and as a XML file, which is best viewed in Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher.

Go to the start page to select a datatype and make a request, or use the grafical selection to select data, or go to the page Enter Selection Criteria for boreholes.
